Card Designs for ‘All We Can’, inspired by Hymn lyrics.

This year, I worked with the charity All We Can to create some bespoke Christmas card designs. These cards form part of their ‘Extraordinary Gifts’ campaign, which is a great option if you fancy giving someone a present with a bit of a difference. There are a range of charity gift options available, and they all contribute to the work that All We Can do. Some of my favourite examples of what a gift card will buy are:

- Beehives and bee-keeping training for families in Ethiopia, so that they have a sustainable source of income all year round.

- Training and materials for women in Uganda to start their own sewing business.

- Vegetable seeds and gardening tools for communities in Ethiopia to start growing their own produce.

-A bicycle for a child in Uganda, so that they are able to get to school.

The card designs that I’ve made for their collection form part of the Extraordinary Gift ‘experience’, and will be sent to the recipient with a personalized message inside. Our vision was to design cards which explored the lyrics of traditional carols, but in a way which felt not only cosy and festive, but also light and uplifting. Greetings cards are a simple way to interrupt someone’s busy day with a little pocket of joy, and that was definitely the motivation behind these designs.
